MIKHAIL KOLKER
OWNER & HEAD COACH

Mikhail started fencing in 1975 in the Kazakhstan Junior National Team and competed all over the USSR, earning the highest USSR recognition for sport. He has a Masters of Fencing from the University of Sport in the former USSR. In college, he stopped fencing and began his career in medicine. He emigrated to the US in 1996 and shortly thereafter began coaching and fencing once again. He earned the highest USFA rating of “A” and has been the New England Division Veterans champion for many years. His students include many regional and national medalists that have excelled both in fencing and in life.

SERGEY KOLKER
COACH & PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR

Sergey Kolker is a national medalist and began his fencing career in 2001 with Mikhail Kolker as his coach. Sergey’s competitive fencing record includes numerous first place finishes in the New England Division, where he has successfully defended U-19 Divisions Championships and the U-19 Junior Olympic Qualifier titles. Sergey has also competed in National Competitions, earning several top place finishes.

James McDermott
COACH

Coach James McDermott has fenced at OSFC since 2009 and has 15+ years of experience. He trained at Brown University’s summer camps for several years under many different coaches and has expert technique and training methods.
